These Terms apply to all visitors, registered members, and any other users of the Website. Your continued use of the Website following any updates to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised version.

About EIC Alumni Association

The Emmanuel International College Alumni Association (EICAA) is the official alumni body of Emmanuel International College, a co-educational private Christian secondary school located at Road G, Da Chibi Rwang Street, Opposite the Old Government House Junction, Rayfield, Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria (RC-469425).

The Website is operated by EICAA to connect alumni, share news and events, and support the broader EIC community.

Eligibility and Membership

3.1

The Website is open to all alumni of Emmanuel International College, former staff, current students with parental consent, and general visitors.

3.2

To register as a member, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for keeping your account details up to date.

3.3

Membership registration is subject to verification by EICAA administrators. We reserve the right to decline or revoke membership where information is found to be false or misleading.

3.4

Persons under 18 years of age may only register with verified parental or guardian consent, in accordance with the Child Rights Act 2003 and applicable data protection law.

User Accounts and Security

4.1

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4.2

You must notify EICAA immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised access to or use of your account.

4.3

EICAA shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.

4.4

You may not share, transfer, or sell your account to any other person.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with the values and Christian ethos of Emmanuel International College. The following are strictly prohibited:

✕Posting false, defamatory, abusive, obscene, offensive, or discriminatory content

✕Impersonating any person, including other alumni, EICAA officials, or school staff

✕Using the Website to solicit money, promote commercial products, or conduct unauthorised fundraising

✕Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website, its servers, or connected systems

✕Introducing viruses, malware, or any other harmful code

✕Harvesting or collecting other users' personal data without their consent

✕Using the Website in any way that could damage the reputation of EICAA or Emmanuel International College

✕Violating any applicable law, including the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015

User-Generated Content

6.1

Where the Website allows you to post content (such as profile information, photos, event comments, or messages), you retain ownership of that content but grant EICAA a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use it for association purposes.

6.2

You represent and warrant that any content you submit does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party.

6.3

EICAA reserves the right to remove any user-generated content that it determines, at its sole discretion, to be in violation of these Terms or otherwise inappropriate for the platform.

7.1

All content on the Website created or owned by EICAA — including the EICAA name, logo, text, graphics, photographs, and design — is the intellectual property of EICAA or its licensors and is protected under Nigerian and international copyright law.

7.2

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or republish any content from this Website for commercial purposes without prior written consent from EICAA.

7.3

Personal, non-commercial use (such as saving an event notice for your own reference) is permitted.

Permitted vs. Restricted Use

Personal, non-commercial use of Website content is permitted. Any reproduction, distribution, or modification for commercial purposes requires prior written permission from EICAA. Unauthorised commercial use may constitute copyright infringement under Nigerian and international law.

EICAA reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified to registered members via email and announced on the Website. Your continued use of the Website after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
